If your order is being sent to an address on the UK mainland, excluding areas of Northern Scotland (please see T&Cs for list of postcodes where additional delivery costs MAY be required.), then we offer a Free Shipping service regardless of the size of your order. If you are still UK based but non-mainland or from a restricted postcode then please contact us for a shipping quote. Unfortunately, we are not currently shipping to non-UK addresses.
If you are a UK customer you are more than welcome to order online and collect your order from our warehouse in Shipley, West Yorkshire. Please contact us as soon as you pay for your order if you wish to collect as we aim to despatch orders as promptly as possible.

Yes, samples are available at Ellbee Fabrics. Each sample is approximately Envelope size and usually cost in the region of £1 each. We have added sample options to many of the listings on the website but if the listing you see does not have a Sample option, please call us and we will either add an option to the listing or take payment for it over the phone. Postage is free for all sample orders.
It would depend on the fabric. Some of our fabrics are one-offs. But many are regular lines if it out of stock then it may be that we are waiting for new stock to arrive. Please contact us and we will assist if we can.
We do not buy many of our fabrics direct from manufacturers, when this is the case then we do not have any care washing instructions. All the information that we provide online, or from our staff directly, is based on our own knowledge. We will endeavour to provide honest guidance, but this advice is to be seen as a guideline and not as a guarantee. It is always prudent to cut a small test piece to see how a fabric reacts to be cleaned before cleaning the whole piece. We are not liable for any damage caused to fabric once it is the possession of the customer.
On the website the payment method is PayPal you do not need to have a PayPal account as you can still make payment with most debit or credit cards too. Over the phone we can accept most cards – unfortunately we cannot process Amex payments. In store we can again accept most debit or credit cards and even cash is also accepted. Cheques are not accepted.

Please contact us by email or phone and we will try to assist if we can. Please note many of our fabrics are of limited stocks and once they are sold then we may not be able to get them again.
We go to great efforts to photograph our products as accurately as the latest technology allows. But we cannot know how these images will be depicted on your chosen method of viewing as the settings may be set to a different screen resolution. If you do have any doubts and are unsure about a fabric due to the images provided, then you can always order a small sample to assess the fabric for yourself before placing an order for a larger amount of it.
We will provide exact composition where possible. Although many fabrics in our stock is not sourced from manufacturers; we do not have access to specific compositions or care instructions for any of these fabrics. All our fabric descriptions are based on our vast knowledge of textiles. In the individual product descriptions, we offer as much information as we feel is necessary.
If you are unable to purchase the quantity you require of a particular fabric through the website, please contact us and we will endeavour to do our best to provide you with the fabric that you are looking for or advise you of any suitable alternatives.
We are delighted to welcome customers to the warehouse. We do ask that, if at all possible, please that you avoid Monday’s as this is an extremely busy day and we are not always able to offer our usual assistance on this day. We do prefer that you call in advance, but it is not too much trouble if you just decide to drop in on the off chance.
To cancel an order, please make sure that you contact us straight away. If the order has already been processed and despatched, we are unable amend/cancel your order. Make sure that you alert us as soon after completing your order as you can, and we will try to agree to a solution.
